Orthofix Files Complaint Against Carolyn Marek and Amendia, Inc.

September 12, 2016 – Plaintiff Orthofix, Inc. filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against Defendants Carolyn Marek and Amendia, Inc. Orthofix alleges that Marek breached the non-competition and non-solicitation restrictions in the Sales Agreement she signed when she began working with Orthofix, and further alleges Marek’s theft of Orthofix’s confidential information and trade secrets and Amendia’s tortious interference with Orthofix’s business and customer relations. Orthofix, a global medical device company in the business of developing, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing orthopedic products, spinal implants, regenerative tissue forms, and instruments used in spinal surgeries, seeks injunctive relieve and damages. The case is number 1-99-cv-ga213.
