Complaint filed by Endobotics, Inc. against Fortimedix Surgical, et al.

On December 1, 2017, Endobiotics, Inc. (“Plaintiff”) filed a complaint against Fortimedix Surgical B.V. and Fortimedix USA, Inc. (“Defendants”) asserting infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 7,147,650 (“the ‘650 Patent”), 7,338,513 (“the ‘513 Patent”), 7,364,582 (“the ‘582 Patent”), 8,221,450 (“the ‘450 Patent”), and 7,686,826 (“the ‘826 Patent”).  The ‘650 Patent, the ‘513 Patent, the ‘582 Patent, the ‘450 Patent, and the ‘826 Patent are each assigned to the Plaintiff and are drawn to surgical instruments that comprise an elongated instrument shaft having proximal and distal ends, with a tool disposed at the distal end.  The Plaintiff is asserting that the Defendants are infringing the asserted patents by making, using, selling, offering to sell, and/or importing surgical instruments, including the symphonX surgical platform of the Defendants.  The case remains pending and is captioned 3-17-cv-02425.
